Cyanogen mod 7 on fascinate

Hey guys i just joined the site today and im new to rooting but i have a fascinate and my friends uncle rooted it for me and i was wondering how do i go about figuring out what stuff i need to do in order to install CM7 on my phone...do you guys need to kno my kernal version to help me and stuff and one last question, what works on CM7 for the fascinate and what doesnt work. everyones help will be greatly appriciated thanks

You need to do a lot of research. the question u asked has already been answered and you posted in the wrong section. Don't worry this happens to every newbie.

Yeah, if you can't find a good guide here, check xda, that's where I got all the info for modding my wife's fascinate the other day.
