Every time that I try to install 1.5 to my X, I get "E: Can't open /sdcard/update.zip
(bad)
Installation aborted"

I've never had these problems installing on my Droid one, or my X, until now. I know what I'm doing, at least I'm fairly sure..

Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?

Are you going to "Install .zip from SD card," and not "Install update.zip?"

I'll certainly try again; I've done that a few times though.

I've tried both naming it update.zip and installing update, as well as installing zip from SD card.

No, the download is fine. In CWM Recovery, you need to disable signature verification, then choose the .zip file. I get the same issue each time and this is how I am able to install it. It always works 100%

If it makes any difference, I am on ApeX currently. I am obviously doing a full wipe prior to trying to install, however.

I'm not sure what happened, but on the 20th attempt after toggling signature verification a few times and making sure that it was off, and using the download from the FTP it worked.

Thank you all for the help.
