Copy/Paste not working for me...anyone else?

Anyone else missing copy/paste on their Nexus?

Tried in default browser and Boat browser to copy text. I can highlight the text after long press, using the handles that appear, but tapping on the selected text doesn't copy, and long press afetr doesn't bring up Paste/context menu.

I hope I'm missing something simple here and will say "Doh!"
