Contacts show up in texts, but no contact list

Pretty much what the topic says...when i add a new number to my phone my contact list doesn't increase, but i can still text the person. Its the weirdest problem and im not sure how to fix it.

Any help?

Using og droid yes? Have you tried a reboot?

If you are on the original Droid, if you go into the contacts app > menu > display options, make sure whatever group your missing contacts are in is set to be visible.
