Contacts linked with myspace.

If anyone could help me with this problem it'd be amazing.
So i recently got the Droid 2, and in the socail networking app i connected it to my myspace. And after doing so i realized that it imputed all my myspace friends into my contacts which i most certainly did not want since i have over 8,000 friends. And when it did that it picked people out of my contacts and connected them with the wrong pictures and such. I deleted that account off my socail networking app and yet the contacts will NOT go away i've tried deleting them manually and everything. Now theres so many contacts it keeps freezing my phone. Does anyone know what to do? Or should i just reset my phone to the factory settings?

Im trying to make my myspace profile hide the top links like home, profile etc etc..but i want to keep the blue section with the 'myspace: a place for friends' logo.if you could help that would be great.
