Contacts erased w/update

Hi all,

I updated my Eris today and when it restarted, it cleared all my contacts.

I'm wondering why this has happened and if there is a way to get them back.

If u have them backed up with ur google account then just go into settings, accounts and click sync on ur google account. hope that works my wife just got a replacement phone cause her media didn't work after the update.
