My Droid X keeps dropping all of my Contacts out of the system. Fortunately they are still in the "Phone" icon. I went to the menu and touched Display Group. I then asked it to load Phone Contacts. It loads my Facebook people. Any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with the X but in your contacts/menu button isn't there an import from SD card selection? If so try that and contacts should be restored.
They should also be in your Gmail account under "my contacts." Make sure your gmail is synced.
This happened to me recently. I don't have a clue as to how it happened but this is how I got the contacts back.
1. Go to the Backup Assistant online
2. Export a .csv file to your computer
3. Delete all of your contact
4. Import them from the .csv file in step 2
5. Sync to your phone
