Contact photos missing in "frequents" section

I recently flashed JB rom, Jelly Belly. everything works fine except when I go into the phone app, right above my frequently called numbers I would have my "top 4" with their contact photos. For me this was my wife and kids...perfect. Now its gone, just "frequently called" and a long list below that.

What am I missing?

can you try going to their individual contact and selecting them as a favorite? im still on ics so i cannot test this out.
