Considering repurposing Droid 1 as full-time 'car audio server' - thoughts?

With the Droid Bionic supposedly one month out at this point, I'm giving some thought as to what I'd like to do with my old Motorola Droid 1 (A855) once it's no longer my main device.

One thought that occurred to me was trying to hook it up, semi-permanently, to my car as a mobile audio server...

Essentially, I'd be looking to either tuck it away somewhere in my car (or more preferably, find some clever way to mount it where it wouldn't tempt someone to break in), hard-wire a power charger from my car to the USB, and leave the phone up with wifi & bluetooth running...

Idea would be that when it's parked in my driveway, I could drop MP3 files onto it from my PC... and then when I go out to the car, I could drive off and play them via the BT connection from my stereo... with no other apps running, and the display almost always off, it should last quite a while when 'dormant' between drives....

Wanted to see if anyone in the community had any thoughts/suggestions to improve on this idea?
