Connect to Xbox 360 via DLNA

Quick question here, I'm having problems connecting my phone to my Xbox to play music through it. My phone doesn't show up as a media device on the Xbox, and I believe all the proper settings are enabled on my phone. A quick Google search seemed to reveal that connecting is a fast and simple process for most people, so I'm curious as to what I'm doing wrong.

I've had smartglass for a while now, and I have yet to find where I'm able to play music from my phone through the Xbox.

To reiterate my problem here, I want to stream music from my phone to my Xbox, connecting the same way the Xbox can connect to a computer with Media Center on it and play the music stored on the computer. Smartglass only seems to allow me the option to use my phone as a remote, which is not at all what I'm looking for.

Wouldn't it be easier to use Google play?

Use Google Play to stream music to my Xbox so I can listen to it through my tv speakers while playing a game? As far as I'm aware, that's something I can't do.
