Since my Droid was updated to V1.8.0.7, I am unable to get into recovery. It goes to the M symbol and stays there forever. I've tried fixing the permissions without any affect. Set CPU is off. Is there any way to go back to the previous version or get into recovery?

What are you trying to accomplish in your attempt to get into recovery? What ROM were you running and what ROM where you trying to put on your phone? These are questions you would have to answer to help the rescue squad help you.

I'm running Ultimate Droid V9.0.0. I was going to load the new baseband on the phone. Makes no difference though I cannot get into recovery though Rom Manager or through a reboot and holding down the X key.

Your phone will not load up and you can not boot into recovery.
Do you have a sd card slot on you computer.

Just curious, I have read about people using CWM Recovery 3.0* or greater. I have the one that always comes with Rom Manager (2.5.0.7) I was wondering if there is any advantage to using a newer version. If so how do you flash to a newer version. I have tried a few different ones. Downloaded a recovery.img file but can't seem to get it going. Suggestions? Thanks in advance. I am running Liberty 2.0.1 this week

im not certain but i believe 3.0 is not available for droid x. i think its for certain devices.
