i ended up softbricking my g-nex. i'm glad i was able to put it back to stock then redo this again. It seems to be working fine, even though I still for the life of me cannot find that file to delete on the last step. I've been able to go to recovery all the time. I think I'm ok?

Seriously loving this phone especially with wifi tether working. sweet!!!
