clock brightness

Is there a way to turn the brightness down? I like the idea of using it for an alarm clock, but dang, the thing illuminates the entire room!

Tap on the time at the bottom right of the screen, it will pop up the date and time, tap on the large time, and it will pop up a larger menu with the screen brightness slider on it. You can turn down the brightness there.
