Clear Addresses from Navigation?

Can some one please tell me how to clear addresses that automatically get stored when I enter them for navigation? The navigation feature is great! I use it often but there are so many addresses stored and I would like to delete them if at all possible. Thank you.

Evidently the only way to get rid of them (according to that discussion) is to uninstall google maps and then re-install. Surely there is a better way.
