Clean ROM with stock .29 radio?

Wondering if this is in the works with anyone.

Reason I ask is because I have the US band unlock installed on the .29 radio, and I don't want band-unlocked radio to go away (as it would if I upgraded radio to .30). But, having said that, I would love to install (on top of the modded radio) either (a) a clean, slimmed down Froyo ROM, or (b) a clean, slimmed down GB-based ROM.

So, before I begin the process of becoming a ROM dev (not something I want to do, if avoidable), I thought I would ask if anyone was developing a 0.29 radio-based ROM.

not @ this time we are currently developing for the .30 radio & awaiting the Gb to come out of the oven guessing since the GRD dev team as the only developers on the D2G scene
