I'm looking for the cheapest option to give my kids a games-only device, but I'm not sure which device would work and be cheap. I will be able to upgrade before too long, so I would have my D1 free. But with Irish twins (2 and 3), having 1 doesn't do me any good. Plus, I'd like something more along the lines of the Eris, as few buttons as possible and with less moving parts.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the cheapest way to accomplish this? I don't need wifi, cell service, anything...I just want to be able to throw the kids puzzle and kids connect the dots type games on it. With no service or anything, I can still move APKs to the device and install them, correct?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

you can buy a droid x with a bad esn for like 100 bucks and use it as a wifi only device.

Just an idea.
