Charging and phone screen won't turn back on.

So this has happened 3~4 times now I plug my s4 in at night and I wake up late for work my alarm didnt go off and I try and turn my phone on and the screen wont come on and I have to do a battery pull. Any ideas peeps ?

Stock? Rooted and running a ROM? If stock, have you accepted the latest OTA and if so have you done an FDR?

I got t~mobile and they havent laumched the newsest OTA

You have any apps that handle system functions? Apps such as Tasker or JuiceDefender can cause issues like this.

Naw dont use any of that stuff. I did fdr and the next day it did it haha.

Well if you did a FDR already then I would get it exchanged. Before doing so, you are using the charging base and the usb cable that came with it correct? If possible, maybe give it one more night and try another outlet, if you don't want to put up with it anymore, I'm sure T-Mo will provide you with a new unit or CLNR. Sounds like a hardware issue to me.

I had a refurb back in my OG Droid days. They really do work like new, you just don't get the retail packaging or accessories. If anything, they can be even more reliable since they were tested before being sent back out as CLNRs while as new ones probably don't get tested as much. Of course I'm just basing that off what I was told and don't know that for a fact. I like to think the "certified" part of it means it was thoroughly checked and tested.

Just like we would like to think that people that work in fast food don't spit in food. But that stuff happens. Hope I dont get the device that the guy decided to slack on haha
