At some time, I set the sound for the alarm clock to one of the songs from my "music" app. I am now trying to change it to another one but cant figure out how.

When I try and change it, it only lists the phones built in sounds. None of my music is listed as available. Can anyone tell me what to do to get it done?

I downloaded the free app Ringdroid, took part of the music I wanted and when you save you can choose alarm or ringtone. Then it becomes a choice when you choose your alarm sound.

you need a third party app installed to change tones from default ones.

Well, it must be something I already have. Because, at some point I set the alarm clock sound to a song from my music play list.

When you tap on the alarm time that you want to change, does it give you the option for "ringtone"...if you tap that, you should be able to change your current ringtone to a different one.

If you had handcent installed before that shows up under the tone picker and you can pick music. That's what I use to pick different music.

Hey GoBears, love your sig. How can you possible play Metallica quietly? That's just, well just wrong man!

Back on topic, can't you hook your phone USB style to your PC and drag and drop music and ringtones to your ringtone directory in your internal storage?
