Cell standby battery issues...

I've looked around a bit, and it seems like the best topic is in the android forums. I've tried the *228 2 trick, airplane cycle trick, rebooted; I've looked through the running processes but it's still sucking away at my battery. My Time without a signal is at 50% which it shouldn't be, signal strength currently is -51dbm, I'm at home with full bars... I don't friggin get it. The process is currently taking up 61% of battery use, that's absurd!

Got the phone brand new 3 or so days ago, had the problem initially, rooted, put rubix 1.9 on it, still have the same problem.

it's an option in the bootstrap recovery, the process still kinda soaks up battery but it doesn't read as 50% out of service. just updated to .340, supposedly it gives you better battery life.
