Can't update

my phone has been trying to update for the last 3 or 4 days (this would be my second update) but it keeps failing and i can't figure out why. i have rooted my phone and i deleted a whole bunch of apps, found out i wasn't supposed to do that and ive tried putting them back on my phone. i downloaded the full pack, took all the ones i thought i needed, put them on the sd card and then used root explorer to copy them from the sd card to /system/app. is there anything else im missing? its still failing so either i have continued to miss one of the apps or there is something i dont get...

Some people have no problem doing the OTA while rooted, but there have been some cases where people had to unroot first to do the OTA. Try this first:

Do the applications you restored have correct file permissions?
