Cant mount my droid to my laptop, please help

So i downloaded the driver from the moto website and I still cant connect. I think windows might have auto installed a driver and that might be causing the problem. Cant figure out how to find out/ uninstall them. Or maybe I'm wrong and its something else. Anyways somebody please help figure this out. I can always count on you Droidforums.

You should be able to go into your control panel and uninstall them like a normal program. This happens to me every now and then where my phone is no longer recognized. Uninstalling them and then reconnecting and allowing them to install again has helped correct the issue for me.

Thanks for the reply but I have been trying that exactly for the last hour. Sooo frustrating. Any other ideas?

Are you rooted or unrooted? Also have you tried another cord? Other than that I have to admit I am a bit short on ideas. Does it charge when you connect it?

Found a temporary fix. Rebooted into recovery and mounted usb through there and it worked with no problem. Thanks for trying to help and pass this possible fix onto the next person who have issues mounting.

No problem. Sorry I was not more help. At least you found a work around for now.
