Can't install Gapps

I have installed cm-10.1-20130116-unofficial-maserati.zip on my Droid 4. That system boots with no problems and runs. I am now trying to install gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip and I get an error "unable to open zip file. I have downloaded the file 3 times, so I don't think it is a corrupt file. The file is in the same root directory that the cm.zip file installed from. I have wiped all cache, and installed the CM system multiple times to start from scratch. After cmod installed I tried to open the file manager an move the gapps file from the external sd card to the internal memory but could not figure out how to move the file using that file manager.

Any help please!!! phone is useless now.

The gapps zip should be flashed through safestrap, just the like the cyanogen mod zip. You're not meant to manually try and unzip the files with a file explorer.

Start over and flash the gapps zip right after the cyanogen zip.

Sorry guys... ignore this thread. I found my problem. I found that the file was not in the \sd-ext directory. I moved it there and it installed fine.
