Cant Install and ROMS

Hi, I just got a droid RAZR which was already rooted. It had superuser but thats it. I installed safestrap and made a backup in the non-safe mode. I then went into safe mode and followed all the steps in installing a new ROM, but whenever i try to boot into it it just stays on a black screen. I left it for a good 20mins but still no luck.

Any ideas?

What rom are you trying to install. Are you following the steps that are posted of the rom you are trying to install. BLACK screen means you didnt install a rom.

Im trying to install a MIUI ROM found on the xda site. I wipe data and cache, format system, then clear dalvik cache, then install the zip. I tried with a few other rome as well but still no luck.

Oh, and I'm on 2.3.5. Is that the problem? Should I be on 2.3.6?
