Can't get root back on 2.2.1 update

I can't seem to get root back since the update. I've ran z4root countless times, tried many of the one click programs and nothing works. Here is a screenshot of where it gets stuck every single time that I run the doroot.bat program or any of the one click programs. Can anyone take a look and tell me what you think? Thanks in advance. Also z4root seems to root the phone everytime and reboots, but still no root. And this method here worked on Froyo 2.2

Use superoneclick. You can find it at xda. Has to be done from a PC. Click unroot first then root and you're back in business.

Same result as me or you?

I had similar issues. I had to use the 2.3.20 SBF that TBH released on MDW the other day and then I was able to re-root. I have a feeling that it had something to do with superuser already being in my system/apps folder already after applying the OTA, but I could be wrong. Either way, using the SBF worked for me.

That's what I was afraid of , I've seen instructions, still nervous about flashing an sbf

I did mine using the z4root and it failed so I then used my doroot and it does the adb shell automaticaly and it seemed to work just fine, all you have to do is run the program with your phone plugged into computer and let it do all the work. it rewrites all the superuser apps and busybox

Try to unroot then remove su app and then use "doroot" you have to plug it in to the pc but it has work on everyones phone I used it on.

The problem with this though (and I could be wrong) is that once you're unrooted, you can't remove the SU app since it sits in the system/app directory.. which is R/O, so you wouldn't be able to delete it without root and being able to set that directory to R/W...

After I updated to 340, I couldn't reroot. I tried using z4root, using doroot, and I tried manually rooting using the PC and adb shell. None of that worked. What finally worked just now was manual rooting using Terminal Emulator on the phone itself. Hope this helps someone.
