Can't Find Dowloaded Apps

RKK

New Member
I downloaded some apps, but can't find them on my Motorola Droid. When I go to the menu/seetings/applications, I see that they are indeed downloaded, but I can't access them. Any suggestions?
I'm new to Droid and to smartphones in general, so any guidance will be much appreciated.

they will be in your programs menu that pulls up from the bottom of the screen.

touch the little grey bar at the bottom...

Can't find downloaded apps

I can scroll through many apps, but even after I get to the last one (You Tube), some of my downloaded ones are missing.

if they are for sure missing i would suggest a reboot. if that doesn't work uninstall the missing ones and reinstall

Do you have examples of applications you are missing from the app drawer/manage applications?

Thanks.

Missing apps/widgets

I think I know what the problem is. These apps are downloaded as widgets. I went to the menu and clicked on the Add button to add them as widgets, but the Add (+) button doesn't react. Any suggestions?
Thanks for indulging a newbie

See the post 2 above this one.......

L O N G press on the desktop in any empty space, and select widgets. Go through the list and see if they are there. If they are, select it and as long as there is room on that desktop it will add. If it gives you a message that there is not enough room, you will need to make room, move to a different desktop (default Droid has 3), or not use that widget at all.

Missing widgets

Here is a really stupid question. Is the desktop the same thing as the home screen? When I press on a blank space on the home screen for 30 seconds or so nothing happens

Yes your "desktop" and the home screen are the same thing.

Pressing & holding on the home screen should be the same thing as pressing Menu > Add.

Are you using home replacement applications?
