Cannot hear the Droid X ring/alert-everyone needs to call Verizon & Motorola

I'm only referring to the alarm. I haven't done anything with the phone ringing.

Oh ... lol ... so you simply realized that there was an alarm setting for the alarm ringing.

I saw what Truckerdout had written about turning off the "Volume" option when you set the alarm. Right under it in small print it says "Use increasing volume". I turned that off and that is what worked for the alarm.

Is that with the stock alarm? I don't see that setting.

I did notice that when I set the max volume for the alarm, it's way louder than the max volume for the timer. Anyone else have the same result?

Yes that is with the stock alarm. The option says "Volume" and right underneath it in smaller lettering is "Use increasing volume".

OK Now

before the new software release I used a very obnoxous ring tone called Mindblowing_Loud that sounded like a siren...at least I was able to hear the phone ring.

Now, since the software release I am using the built in Crayon Rock ringtone and I can hear it ring just fine.

Not sure if its any louder or I got accostomed to its ability. Either way, it is now acceptable to me.

I must admit that this phone is like having a PC on my hip at all times....totally happy.
