Can you turn off the external speaker

So my X is being delivered today and I'm ditching my Blackberry Storm. I listen to Sirius (H100/H101) on my phone all day long through headphones. Every once and awhile I'll knock the heaphones out of the jack, and this isn't the best when you are listening to Stern Anyways, I'm just wondering if you can disable the speaker on the X so if this happens you don't hear any audio through the phones external speaker.

I believe it automatically pauses whatever you're listening to when the headphones fall out.
