Listening to Wav messages

I have a Droid X, my phone messages at home and work are emailed to me as WAV files. When I click on the message to listen to them the sound comes through the speakers.

How do I change it, so that it comes thru the phone speaker , I don't want everybody to hear my messages.

Use earbuds... Device is thinking it's music and uses the speaker.

Remote wav, which is what I used for my vonage messages before they started transcribing them, has volume built into the program and the lowest setting is VERY low...as in hold the speaker to your ear to actually hear the message
