Can you open folders on Droid?

Can you open folders on the Droid without having to mount it to a computer? i.e. if you downloaded a file and want to look at it on the phone. I can't figure out if you can do it or not...

To coin the phrase "there's an app for that" search for "Astro" in the market, works great! be careful though it gives you access to EVERYTHING on your phone.
