Can my Old phone( droid 2) be used as just a storage device for music or pictures

Can my old droid 2 that is not in use ( I have droid X activated) be used as a music storage playback device?
I had issues with the phone and went to the droid X for my phone usage. I have since received a refurbished phone but I Don't want to use it as my phone. I have the activate phone screen showing up. Is there a way to bypass?

What is the activate screen? the google sign in is not an actiate thing, just sign in your account and your good to go. i think you have to dial number to switch back to your d2. just use it on wifi. its just a small tablet

Yeah the activate screen will showup everytime you restart the phone, happens on my D1. Just hit the back button and it's gone. I use mine as a browser and music player mostly now.

Ive got both my sisters old d1 and they are cool, one stays plugged into stereo and plays music.

The screen has the wigit and states welcome to droid2.then once you touch the screen it only gives you promps to activate phone. I had to do a factory reset so all my original info was wiped. How can I get pass this without activating my phone?

I have a D1 that I use as a storage device for photos, I just bluetooth file transfer from my Bionic to get the photos of my card, I also use it on WiFi for websurfing and email sometimes.
