Droid USB storage problems

I have searched but have found nothing on this topic.

I just purchased a used droid, and it came with a 16gb card, so I want to use that over the old 4gb i had in my last phone.

I wiped my droid and formatted the card, but connecting through USB mass storage is giving me problems.. It stays connected for maybe 30 seconds and then disconnects. I am trying to copy over some music and videos but am having problems with connectivity.

Any suggestions?

You can check the cable you're using but that's about it. If you have a faulty connector on the device then the device will need to be replaced unless you can find someone that can repair it.
