can I zoom in anymore with 2.2 droid?

Hi. I've noticed on my Droid running 2.2 that I can now zoom in before taking pictures, but I can't find how to zoom in while video taping.
Does the zoom function for the video still work running 2.2?

I bought the droid running 2.1 and the zoom function for the video did work.

I have seen it on other Roms..not sure of an app that zooms
