Can I flash the 2.3.15 to my X running 2.3.151?

Im sending my fru back to vzw for exchange. I've rooted and moved (not removed) the "bloatware" from the phone. I can restore to stock without the sbf, but id rather be safe than sorry. Any help is welcomed. I just don't want to get a charge back because vzw finds out.
