Can I delete downloads?

I was looking through my files on the SD card and came across a file called download. I looked into it and its all of the apps I've downloaded. I was wondering if I can delete these files since they have already been installed, or is this where the "move to SD" places the apps?

The download folder holds any downloads from the browser and other apps which dump their downloads there. This is safe to delete.

.android-secure is where the froyo implementation of apps2sd stores the parts of apps that were moved to the sd card. This is hidden to the normal user and should not be deleted unless you want to lose those apps and possibly cause problems.
