Can I backup and restore a Clockwork Mod file from one Droid 2 to another?

I'm getting phones replaced left and right because of FRU issues. Can I use bootstrap/clockwork mod to backup and restore EVERYTHING in it's current state then restore it BACK to the replacement Droid 2 with no issues like I could with SP Recovery on the Droid 1 with a Nandroid?
