My girlfriend and I are international for a time, so we are trying to use Rebtel to make free long distance calls to one another.
Rebtel has its own dialer that sits between the user and outbound/inbound calls, which knows whether or not ingoing/outgoing numbers are also Rebtel members. If those numbers ARE members, the call is connected for free.
The problem is that the Moto menu (com.motorola.hiddenmenu.hiddenmenureceiver process, aka hiddenmenu.apk) to see "admin" stats also uses the same APIs that Rebtel does: it sits between the user and the dialer to see whether or not a unique action should be taken based on the number dialed.
The easy solution is to simply remove hiddenmenu.apk. I've Googled high and low, but no definitive answer has boiled to the top.
