camera - won't link to my iMac / flash won't work

Hi,

The camera in my Droid just developed two problems (I think) simultaneously.

1. The flash is stuck in Off mode. The "toggle switch" won't move to either On or Auto.

2. My Droid used to show up in iPhoto to import pictures into my library. Now when I connect with USB it doesn't show up at all. It doesn't even come up in Image Capture. I have been emailing pictures to myself in order to get them off my camera. Any thoughts? ( btw , I'm not interested in using doubleTwist )
