Cachemate question...

So I have cachemate and it says 590 mb used... Do I need to clear cache? And why do I need to do it? What does it do? What will happen if I dont clear cache? If I understand right cache is like saved data from a webpage I went to or document or something I viewed right? .....help lol.

Alot of apps have cache and alot don't if u don't clean ur cache ur phone will start lagging and get worse until u clean it.

From my understanding of it, cache is like a bank of your phones memory, if you don't clear it out every once in awhile you will notice a lag in your phone.
