Buying from ebay

if i buy a droid x from ebay, and something happens to it, can i go to the verizon store to be replaced under the manufacturers warranty, or would i be SOL?

If you already have Asuron insurance on your phone prior to activating the Droid X, they will still cover you. But I am unsure if Verizon will honor the manufacturer warranty. Just call customer service and ask, they will give you the most accurate answer.
