We all been there, you go to the store (or website), pick up your item, checkout, rush through traffic or tear it open in the car, and for whatever reason you end up closing it back up and asking for your money back. The reality is that not everything lives up to our expectations. Whether it was a result of over ambitious expectations or the manufacturer overselling their product, we were not pleased enough to keep it. But not all the time we take something back it was from our expectations failing to be met. There are times where other circumstances require us to forfeit the item, whether it be money, or other things involved (ie those of us on a budget buying and then realizing how much of a squeeze the purchase will put on us that month).

So what items have you bought that you immediately took back and why?

I didn't take it back but I do regret buying my Martian Notifier.
As a watch; I stopped wearing watches decades ago for telling me the time.
As a notifier; my S is SO far advanced over being just a notifier I couldn't settle for just notifications and very limited ability to interact with the phone.

Sorting through stuff now and stumbled upon my FitBit Flex. I wore it for maybe 5mo and then it just got annoying to wear and was constantly coming off when I was playing basketball. Easily my biggest tech regret purchase.

Hah funny, I was considering a moto360 when there was a deal for it a few weeks back, but I'm not a fan of wearing things on my wrist.

Engagement ring, not tech but I wanted to take it back right away.

I did that too, the first time and felt the same feeling, probably not as fast... But it was a royal pain getting it back, had to spread a "I'll love you, and your family forever lie" to get it back in my hands and my pocket, her tears didn't get it back on her hand that time...
Luckily I "learnt my lesson" and chose wisely the last time...
Most any Tech is always a feeling of, why did I buy this, after a few months...

I get that remorse buying anything, doesn't matter what. Adopting a dog, holy hell. Bought a new p226 to play with, geez why did I buy that I already have enough guns(Not true but the $600 price tag hurt). New car, yeah why did I buy this car that takes premium gasoline and burns up tires? New truck, I need 4x4 for Ohio winters...ugh yeah. It's worse when the dollar value goes up. A few hundred dollars doesn't bother me long but when it's into the thousands, I sweat it out. Buy a new cellphone to test out Project Fi, of course because my 6p wouldn't suffice with me swapping sims.

Funny, I've never thought that when buying a pewpew, as they're easy to swap for little loss, anything else is typically a loss of sometimes almost half...

I wish there was a better chose for trying Fi, I just don't like the offerings now.

The big why with tech, even after researching for ever, the price drops and the tech jumps a week later, I've gotten away from the major pain by looking at the purchase as disposable.

LOL +1 on the "pewpew", they never lose their value if you have to unload it.
See what I did there.... [emoji23]
