We just got back from 10 days in New England and I can't tell you what a great help our Droid was! Except for Weston, VT, we had coverage everywhere, and we used the maps to see where the GPS in the car was taking us, look up the nearest restaurant, figure out driving distances, check traffic conditions, look up the nearest T station, and get walking directions in Boston. Posted to my blog via Blogaway, and also to Facebook, listened to podcasts with MyPod, searched for items in the browser, watched videos and played games while waiting at the airport and in the plane, set the alarm since the alarm clock in the hotel disn't work, played music on the player, noted where the car was parked in Car Matey, took pictures in Boston without dragging around my camera, pulled up a coupon to use in a bookstore, checked the weather on the Weather Channel app and the stars in the sky using Google Sky, and read e-books via Aldiko.

Thank you Motorola and Verizon!

Pretty much ditto to the OP when I went to DC.

My battery took a beating, that's for sure.
