Broken headphone jack. Possible solution?

The headphone jack for my device broke because I rolled over it while sleeping. Earbuds were inserted in the headphone jack, and they appear to moved in such a way that damaged the device's interior.

Would using something like this work? Would I be able to listen to audio through the USB connector? It doesn't need to be this particular adapter.

From what i understand the only way to get external audio (speakers/headphones) on your phone.. You have to use the audio jack..

Insurance or warranty should cover it..

I may be wrong about this
