Hey Guys,

Over time I noticed that my head phone jack was slowly degrading. Occasionally I would have to spin the headphone plug to get it to work properly and then it finally happened.

The headphone jack broke. It appears to have sunk into the phone by 1 or two millimeters. The headphones do not fit securely, the phone doesnt recognize the headphone connector and plays everything via the external speaker.

My phone is not covered by the insurance plan, does anyone know what my options are for getting this fixed?

I have the original Motorola Droid.

This would fall under the one year manufacturer's warranty. Call Verizon or take it to a Verizon store.
