Bricked Phone - need some help

So yesterday I got my replacement phone from Verizon and I rooted successfully and proceeded to take a backup image from my old phone and put it on my new phone, but to much dismay my phone will not boot. I am able to get to hboot but when I select any of the options the screen goes black like its going into rom manager but does not display anything. This is the case with all of the menu options in hboot. My computer can see the android bootloader interface. Is there anything I can do or am I bringing this replacement back to verizon and telling them it stopped working after a day?

Was your old Inc an Amoled and the new is a SLCD?
