I used z4root to root my droid 1. all was well until one day I lost superuser permissions. my digitizer is breaking down (from repeated contact with oil and dirt) and for warranty purposes, I need to get superuser (and a non-stock boot screen) off of the phone. I can's use superoneclick, z4, or androot to un-root or re-root. any ideas?:motdroidvert:

If your digitizer is malfunctioning because of oil and dirt contact, its an insurance issue, not warranty. Root doesn't matter with an insurance claim.

agreeing with Droid DOES here.

You could try SBF'ing to get rid of all of those apps and such though if you must. But I sent in a rooted D1 for an insurance claim with Asureon and had no issues.
