bootstrap prevents ota from installing

This is good and bad. I am awaiting instructions from Koush on how to get the ota if you want it.

so if im rooted then i wont get otas? i have bootstrap installed but never opened it. what do i do to get otas?

for right now looks like you would have to use sbf to unroot then install ota and reroot. Ima wait for univeral androot, I dont feel like doing all those commands again.

ive had my d2 since release day and got 1 ota before i rooted, im on ver 2.2.20 so im good for now right? or is there another ota somewhere?

u good, i just got my droid yesterday and rooted b4 the ota.

my friend rooted after the update dl but didnt install. he installed over what he had, and didnt loose root. so u could do a manual update if the file is somewhere. without update u cant scroll through txt threads

If rooted already just go to settings about phone system updates and check for update install update.phone will lose root access, at this point you will still see ninja in app drawer, but you won't be allowed root access. So just use adb to re root and you will have root again. I'm not for sure if the update will work if you removed system apps prior. Good luck this worked for me.
