Bookmarking a html file from sdcard?

I found a collection of comic strips, very well organized with an index.html file, and put the whole thing on my sdcard. I can view the index file in Astro, and it works just fine. But I was wondering if there was a way to point the native browser to this index file. Having a bookmark shortcut would complete the picture here.

And, of course, right after posting this I found the syntax. Created a bookmark like this:

file://sdcard/ (completing the rest of the file path to the index.)

I can now navigate the index file from the native browser, but still no go on a home shortcut. Gets an "application is not installed on your phone," message. No big deal, just an few extra clicks is all.

P.S. Calvin and Hobbes rocks.
