Blur VS Blurless Email

Using the stock Droid X I always had issues with my email not syncing intermittently. Some say it is a blur issue. Common problem for people and of course Moto didn't fix it yet.

Now I am on Rubix 1.9.5 and loving it. rock solid and my email just works.
I kind of liked some of the blur (Camera and dialer) and if the next rubix has blur I would use it instead of blurless.

My question is for anyone running custom roms with Blur.

Does your custom blurry rom Email always work? (corporate exchange for example)

Just wanted to throw out there.....that there is a Blur version of Rubix. Rubix Blurry.

But isn't that an older version, I know Drod is releasing a blurless and blurry Rubix 1.9.7 or 2.0

If you are running Blur rom is the corporate exchange mail reliable?

Use K9 or alternative and be done with it

I'm running liberty and have experienced the same thing. My exchange (hotmail) has pushed emails perfectly since I loaded the rom whereas it was very unreliable when running stock.

There is a zip file floating around the forums that you can use to re-install the blur camera onto your blur-less ROM. If that is all you want from Moto I would highly suggest this over a blur ROM.


(I used one labled "BlurCameraFromFission" ..I think I got it here, but it might have been over at XDA -- it worked great on GummyJar)
