Bluetooth Tethering on the Droid X?

Hello,

I'm new to the forums, and don't have a Droid- yet.

Before I get a Droid, I would like to know about Bluetooth Tehtering. I have read on various sites about how you can tether your Droid to your computer for internet access by using the Droid as an "access point". I don't want to do that, because then my computer won't let me share the connection. I need to be able to share it!!! The only other option I am aware of, is if you tether via DUN, establishing a Dial-Up connection between the Droid and a computer through Bluetooth. So am I able to create a dial-up connection with a fake number of course, to tether my Droid to my computer? Keep in mind I don't want to pay for tethering, so this will have to be without a tethering plan form Verizon.

Thanks in advance!

Easiest way is to root your droid and use wireless tether

Sent from my phone... which happens to be a Droid X

If you have Windows 7 download the program connectify. This allows other computers to connect to yours via wireless and share your internet.
