Bluetooth query

Just a question out of curiosity.....Is there any advantage of Bluetooth manager app vs using the phone settings to run it? I seem to do ok with connection using just phone settings, with a few issues with signal stuttering but it seems to correct itself after a bit

Phone settings usually good enough.. Only advantage to app if phone has any special sound setti gs to adjust.. Or like Samsung connect to buds

So nothing is gained as far as better connection using the app over just going with the system?

I'm not a believer in app... I've seen some up help with equalizer for music but end of the day it's the phone and headphones quality
